Secret! App Reviews

As a long time user of Secret on the Palm and Windows I am disappointed by this implementation. . Documentation is woeful . Interface is clumsy . Developer is completely unresponsive to questions What a shame!

Like others who have provided reviews on this product, I have used Secret for many year. First on my Palm Pilot and laptop and now on my iPod and laptop. I did have some trouble getting the iPod / iPhone version to sync at first, but I followed the information on the web site and got it working. Now it syncs with no trouble.

Ive been using Secret! for a couple of years with my Palm Pre. I like that this app provides the flexibility to make freeform entries, rather than filling in pre-defined fields. Search is fast and covers all text in an entry, making it easy to find what you want. Wifi sync with the desktop version is fast. Moving the Secret! data from my previous handheld to the iPhone was easy and painless. Highly recommended!

I have been using Secret Desktop and the Palm version for many years and have been very pleased with Linkesoft support. The syncing feature between the desktop and the iPad couldnt be easier, and definitely could not be faster. I was completely amazed at the speed...... the entire sync was done in much less than one second after I clicked the sync button!!! If you have been using Secret! Desktop, and/or on a Palm device (or if like me, you still use it on your Treo and desktop), and you also have an iPad and want to have your data there too, then this is a great app for you. The Secret! Desktop program even lets you sync with both Treo (or a more modern device) and iPad (albeit 2 different files). You can specify whether the sync is bidirectional or whether desktop overwrites the mobile device(s) or vice versa. Re the user Woodwise review just above this one-- you CAN copy and paste data. Just go to the entry you are interested in, and click the EDIT button at the upper right. Then you can SELECT, COPY, etc. If you have never used Secret! before, you should check it out. Very easy to use, has Windows and Mac versions for the desktop and supports all major handheld OS, strong encryption, easy syncing between the desktop and the mobile devices and great support.
