Secret! app for iPhone and iPad

I have looked for a program to securely store my passwords, TANs plus a couple of other stuff well-encrypted on my iPod touch and sync it to an intuitive desktop application on my Mac. What shall I say - this program does exactly what I had looked for in combination with MacSecret. Love the TAN mode and the fact that the used TANs are kept in sync on my iPod and my Mac. Seems to do exactly what I want and hasnt crashed or failed me so far. Love it!

At last I can use Secret on my iPhone. I have been using it for years on Palm & Windows and now I can use it on iPhone & Mac. Have tested it for over two weeks now with no issues / problems. Sync to Mac works well over WLAN. An all-round goodie, the only thing that I still miss is the password generation capability that Secret has on other platforms, if that is implemented on Mac or iPhone then Ill be looking for the sixth star for this product.

I have used Secret for over 10 years. Initially on my (several) Palm Pilots over that time and synchronised to the PC version of the app and now on my iPod touch and sync to my PC as well. Never had an issue with the program. Vendor reponsive to requests and changes including device and registration updates. Highly recommended.

Paired with the Linkesoft Secret! PC application to allow syncing this is an excellent info storage application. It is very flexible with categories/folders and the editing is simple an efficient. The app wont hold your hand, but this is nice as it allows you to store however much or however little info you want. The search is quick and likely the feature I use the most. Syncing is smooth between iPhone and PC as well. We even keep our master data file on a NAS and three household PCs can access it (password protected of course). And our two iPhones just sync to any of the PCs. I believe Secret! has been around for a while as well do to date I have not encountered any bugs in about 6 months+ of usage.

Used it first time on a Palm III, then on a Pocket PC and now on my iphone 4s. I synch easily between my iphone app and the Linksesoft pc app. Tv-apathy did a good job as an iphone integrator. As usual, this app is very basic (text mode and hyperlinks) but efficient. The only issue I had was trying to export data from itunes but I did it accidentally as this is not really required

For me it is a 5 stars with its companion app from linkesoft, for the desktop. I am using Secret! since already on PalmV and never dropped it. Its perfect because of the very strong encryption and because the database is not stored into any strange cloud where unknown eyes could look at it. It is transferred between devices using wifi and bonjiour protocol. Moreover the program has no fixed fields and I can write freely my secret notes. Perfect!

Ive long been a fan of Secret! for the PalmOS, and after having tested some other password storage apps for the iPhone, I realized that I couldnt go back to using anything else. Secret! has it all: strong encryption, desktop sync, ease of use, and categories for keeping things organized.

Best darn security software I have used. I have used it on my Palm and PC platforms for several years. I love its ease of use! Very happy to see it here for my iPod Touch. My hope is to have the dev make a version to work on my Blackberry Storm. Also, over the years any time I have had a question or a suggestion, I was treated like I was a personal friend. Questions were answered almost immeadiately and suggestions were very often incorporated. Customer service is way above the norm. This is one app you will not regret having to keep ALL your private notes and passwords just that. .... Secret!

Giving this a well-deserved 5 stars. My previous review 3 days ago (which Im editing here), reported some minor problems. Im glad to report that--true to the Devs usual form--all the new-for-Apple stumbling blocks have been fixed, and the app is ready for prime time! The original developer Linkesoft created this great private info bank for Palm devices, ported it to Windows desktop and Windows Mobile devices, to Macs, and now thanks to tv-apathy, to iPod Touch & iPhone. Ive happily used it through all of its migrations for the last 9 or so years. The devs continually listened to their users, and added/modified features to make it ever more useful and user-friendly. Make sure you visit the Developers web sites; an essential companion of this iPod Touch & iPhone version is the Desktop version, which runs on both Windows and Mac platforms. With this Desktop you can use all your Secret! data right from the convenience of your desk- and laptop machines: all your critical data ready to hand, highly encrypted, easy to find and use. Cut and paste passwords, accounts, etc into your browser to shop on line, manage your bank accounts, and find that old address where you lived 30 years ago. Keep whatever info you need kept secret in an easy to access form from whatever your device/platform.

As always a well thought out program.Cant wait for the desktop!

I have been very satisfied using Secret! with my Palm (Sony Clie) and Windows desktops for many years. Although I had already purchased another password app on recently switching to an iPhone, I purchased the Secret! iPhone app as soon as I found it and dropped the other app. I much prefer the notes approach (vs. fields), with category/records list/records displayed in panes arranged in one window rather than the fields approach and records displayed in a separate window from the categories/records pane. The developers have always responded quickly to questions, and continue to update the program with new features and improvements. I also purchased the Macsecret desktop after the developers quickly answered my inquiry in the affirmative that I could sync my iPhone with both my work Windows desktop and Macbook Pro laptop so that the information is readily available on all three platforms.

I have used this program (along with Secret Desktop) for over 10 years. Wonderful to have passwords, bank info, etc. on my iPhone protected in the event of loss. Easy to sync iPhone to a computer via wi-fi. A must app in my opinion. The Secret! Desktop program is great to have on your laptop to store the hundreds of bits of info (passwords for every one of your online accounts for example).
